an mp3 mom meme.

I’ve been tagged for a fun music meme by Elle at A Complete Thought. Here are the instructions:

1. Put your iPod (or MP3 player) on shuffle.
2. For each question, press the next button to get your answer.
3. YOU MUST WRITE THAT SONG NAME DOWN NO MATTER HOW SILLY IT SOUNDS!
4. Tag some Moms you admire who could use a laugh and a song.

My mp3 player actually had a dead battery, so my sweet FirstHusband found the power supply, charged the player, and completed the meme FOR me while I put PinkGirl to bed. Here’s the result:

  1. Yeah, the IG song made me laugh, too! As did the carpool song. Sometimes, you don’t need to know the song at all to see how the title works – or doesn’t!

Now, how to participate…As tech-y as I am, I don’t have an MP3 player, mainly because all our CD’s are ripped and in digital format on the home server! I do have a bunch on my laptop, so maybe I’ll try it with everything on there.

  2. These are soooo funny! It’s like an internet version of the Mad Libs game. My faves:

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF WHILE SITTING IN CARPOOL LINE?
“Come to Me” by Bonnie Rait (Luck of the Draw)
WHAT IS YOUR LIFE’S PURPOSE AS A MOM?
“This Nightlife” by Clint Black (Put Yourself in My Shoes)

  3. I love your answers!!! I grew up on country music, but when in my teens I wanted to listen to rock-n-roll. I gave it a good go. Then Clint Black’s “Put Yourself in My Shoes” came out and I ran back to Country and have never left my homeland again. It was so cool to see Clint Black come up as one of your answers. I’ll try to get to this, I love it!
