Outside my window . . . During the day? Birds. LOTS of birds. Red Wing Black Birds, Cardinals, Tufted Titmouse (my favorite), even a Woodpecker. And yes, squirrels. The sounds, the sights. Peaceful. At night? A deer. A possum. A raccoon.
I am thinking . . . I really need a few hours of complete quiet time to focus on work. A client is waiting on something I haven’t finished yet.
From the learning rooms . . . WHY have I not read C. S. Lewis before? Amazing.
I am thankful for . . . Abundant blessings. The fact that my husband and both my children have a heart for Jesus.
From the kitchen . . . FirstHusband’s soups. Lamb soup. Turkey soup. Next? Ham soup. (posts and photos later)
I am wearing . . . clothes that are too big now. Won’t shop till after the compression binder is history.
I am reading . . . Today? The Book of Hebrews, Chapter 2. C.S. Lewis – The Problem of Pain, Chapter 6 and Angela Hunt’s “The Novelist.”
I am hoping . . . the four summer schedules of the people in my family don’t encounter any conflicts I can’t work out.
I am creating . . . memories with my children. Simple stuff they remember – fondly – for years.
I am praying . . . for God to CLEARLY tell me what to do about my participation in my church’s praise team.
Around the house . . . purging stuff. Packing up stuff for charity and entering it into It’s Deductible. Excess stuff. Evidence of our over-abundant material blessings.
One of my favorite things . . . sitting in a dry, hot sauna.
A few plans for the rest of the week . . . Finish two work projects, deliver charity donations, go to the library, get FavoriteSon a new bathing suit before Wednesday, make time for God every day, feed my family dinner every night, get enough sleep.

Raccoons outside your window? Keep an eye (or should I say a nose) on your attic. . . .
I love the insight these posts give me into other people’s worlds.
Thanks for sharing.
