Below are some of books I highly recommend because I have personally found them to be helpful throughout my life. Click a link below to view books related to a particular topic.
Tactics, 10th Anniversary Edition: A Game Plan for Discussing Your Christian Convictions There is a distinct difference between witnessing (verb) and BEING a witness (noun). I’ve long believed that listening beats talking when it comes to conversations about God. This book not only teaches you the questions to ask, but helps you figure out when and IF you should ask them. I wrote a little about asking questions in a blog post entitled “the “right” questions.“
God Space: Where Spiritual Conversations Happen Naturally One of the BEST books I’ve read on relational evangelism. I explain my motivation and approach to natural authentic conversations that allow people to see how my faith imacts my life in a blog post entitled “evangelism is like halloween.“
Your God Is Too Safe: Rediscovering the Wonder of a God You Can’t Control This book came into my life at a time of searching and revelation and I wrote a blog post about my thought process entitled “toxic concoction.”
Motivational Interviewing: Helping People Change, 3rd Edition (Applications of Motivational Interviewing)
The Coddling of the American Mind: How Good Intentions and Bad Ideas Are Setting Up a Generation for Failure I found the research and findings explained in this book extremely insightful with regard to understanding the mindset of GenZ, the conditions which are leading to the development of this mindset and expecially, what we can DO to help.
Grace Based Parenting: Set Your Familiy Free The philosophy behind this book resonated deeply with me. I wrote a blog post about my daughter soon after reading it entitled “freedom to be different.“
