  1. How funny – I was going to say Have Fun! but Mocha with Linda says Praying for you, so I’m unsure what to think LOL Well, I wish a lot of fun anyway.

Kristin – yeh. You can find a little history in some of my “. . . therefore I quote.” posts. A link trail to what happened last year can be found in THIS post.

My goal is to occupy as much of her time as possible to divert her from my dad and sisters. Last night, when I got home, I realized how emotionally exhausting it is to “casually” divert the conversation away from my dad and sisters ALL. DAY. LONG. I don’t think she knew that’s what I was doing. I am the MASTER of distraction. I developed and continuously hone my skills with the kids when FirstHusband travels or works a lot of overtime.

Even then, when I left her in the car with my kids to go into the grocery store for her, she asked them questions about my dad. Thankfully, all they talked to her about was his attendance at all their sporting events this year. My dad is still hurting and giving her personal info about him gives her power. (by JSM)

  2. Umm…..deep, cleansing breaths. In. Out. In. Out.

    We love you.

Tina – Thanks for the laugh! Out loud, even. FirstHusband read the comments to me last night. If I had been drinking anything, it would have come out my nose. And very good advice. (by JSM)

  3. Oh dear. Good luck keeping your sanity in tact. Gotta love your kids for tactfully listing sporting events with your dad. I’ll be keeping you in my thoughts until Sunday has come and gone.
