Came downstairs to see PinkGirl working on a poster board sized map for a geography project due Monday. Disney’s Beauty and the Beast playing DVD.
Me: “Why are you watching that?”
PinkGirl: “I needed something to watch and not pay complete attention to.”

FavoriteSon: “no.”
Me: “You ate the baked zucchini fries I made a while back.”
FavoriteSon: “I ate them. But if I remember right, I smothered them in sauce.”
Later..
FavoriteSon, looking at the Parmesan baked zucchini sticks coming out of the oven: “I dunno….”
I added more cheese. Theoretically, if you add enough cheese to any vegetable, it can’t be bad. Right?

My earlier theory has been proven false, at least according to my son (The theory was that if you put enough cheese on any vegetable, it can’t be bad. The vegetable in this case was roasted zucchini.)

1 hour strength training session done.
Wowza. Milestones include TWO 2 minute forearm planks between 3 sets of 20 pushups on the Bosu. Also a 1 minute wall squat and a 45 second wall squat between 3 sets of 20 squats holding 20lb dumbbells.
Looking at the rest of my day, I really, really should get my 30 minute HIIT treadmill program crossed off my list.
Wonder If I’ll do it…

Every time a Mother’s Day commercial comes on the air, I’ve been saying,
“Please don’t get me that.” and
“I don’t want to go out to eat on Mother’s Day, it’s 2 hours of my life I’ll never get back.”
Finally, yesterday, PinkGirl said, “We know you never want that stuff, you just like it when we clean your van.”

One hour strength training done.
Milestones include 2 sets of 12 lb kickbacks while standing on the Indo board and then 20 push-ups, 2 minute forearm plank, followed by another 20 push-ups & 2 minute forearm plank, followed by another 20 push-ups & 1.5 minute forearm plank.
Really irritated that I couldn’t do those last 30 seconds.
(these push-ups are on my knees – next week, I’m moving up to my toes, so who knows how many I’ll be able to do)
